Front office staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, the corporate structure that owns the park is less accomodating. There were 8 pages of fine print to sign on-line and a full payment was due at time of the reservation. Somewhere in the fine print it stated that no refunds were given at any time so we had no choice but to stay here.
We quickly found our site on the east side of the park which borders a major city highway and is close to the airport. Traffic noise was horrendous but we seemed to get used to it over time. In addition, the sprinkler system came on at midnight and hit the side of our unit for about 30 minutes. The office staff told us the sprinklers were taken care of by an independent landscaping firm and they couldn't do much about it. The maintenance guy eventually turned the water off after several days of the landscaper ignoring their calls.
Calling the park a "RESORT" is a great stretch of the imagination. As previous stated, the sprinkler system was not well maintained. But the showers and bathrooms were clean and worked well. There was also a small sauna in the park. The laundry was attached to the office, but could be accessed by another door. The machines were coin operated but no change machine was available, so unless one had 24 quarters in their purse or pocket it was difficult to do laundry. There were dog-friendly areas, dog runs and a large fenced area with kids' playground equipment.
Located in busy industrial and hotel area next to airport. Bordered by a major highway. Because of the park's reasonable pricing, about half of the sites in the park are occupied by long-term units. The occupants of these sites were quiet, friendly and most were gone during the day.
No, due to the no refund policy and traffic noise.
Worth a Stop? No, other RV parks in the Colorado Springs area have better amenities and less traffic noise.
Best Feature: Very friendly staff! Large, wide roads and sites.
Watch Out For: LOUD traffic and airport noise, requires full payment at time of reservation with NO REFUNDS, about 50% of spaces are used by long-term residents (a few are pretty junky), no change machine in laundry room.
